Alex Flagstad is a Los Angeles-based guitarist, producer, music director and songwriter. He has toured extensively as a guitarist, traversing a diverse array of genres including pop, rock, blues, folk, R&B, and jazz. From 2015 to 2018, he played lead guitar, synths, and sang background vocals for The Heirs (Sony/Z-Entertainment), a nationally touring pop-rock outfit. More recently, he has music directed for several nationally touring pop artists (Sophie Rose, Alice Gray, Morgan St. Jean) while also producing and writing extensively.
As a producer, Flagstad has had his work featured on Spotify's New Music Friday playlist, in addition to media outlets such as Nylon Magazine and The Fader. Recently, his remix of Borgeous’ “Famous” was released on Tiësto’s Musical Freedom label. He has produced songs for numerous Los Angeles pop acts (BAUM, Alice Gray, Alexx Mack), and his work has amassed millions of streams on Spotify alone.
As a sideman and session guitarist, he's performed and recorded extensively with a range of projects and artists, from John Fogerty to JoJo. He has played sold out shows across the country, and has also gigged extensively as a solo singer/songwriter.
Flagstad graduated in May 2015 with a BM in Popular Music Performance from the University of Southern California’s Thornton School of Music.
