Alex Flagstad is a Los Angeles-based guitarist, producer, music director and songwriter. He has toured extensively as a guitarist, traversing a diverse array of genres including pop, rock, blues, folk, R&B, and jazz. From 2015 to 2018, he played lead guitar, synths, and sang background vocals for HEIRS, a nationally touring pop-rock outfit. Recently, he has also music directed for a number of different up-and-coming pop artists (Alice Gray, Morgan St. Jean) while also producing and writing extensively.
In the past, Mr. Flagstad has demonstrated his ability to wear many hats – as a part of HEIRS, he not only filled multiple musical roles, but also worked as music director, producer, and in various organizational/managerial roles.
As a producer, Flagstad has had his work featured on Spotify's New Music Friday playlist, in addition to media outlets such as Nylon Magazine and The Fader. He has produced songs for numerous Los Angeles pop acts, including BAUM, Alexx Mack, and Alice Gray.
As a sideman and session guitarist, he's performed and recorded extensively with a range of projects and artists, from John Fogerty to JoJo. He has played sold out shows across the country, and has also gigged extensively as a solo singer/songwriter.
Flagstad graduated in May 2015 with a BM in Popular Music Performance from the University of Southern California’s Thornton School of Music.
